Online Casinos
There are thousands of online casinos and most of them look identical from the outside. What separates them is underneath: who licenses the operator, how quickly they actually pay, and what the terms let them do if you win. This section is how we work through that.
The four checks that decide a rating
Every casino we write about goes through the same four checks, in the same order. A weak result on licensing or payouts caps the score regardless of how good the game library looks.
01
Licensing
Who regulates the operator, and what recourse you actually have if a withdrawal is refused. A tier-1 regulator is not a guarantee, but it gives you somewhere to complain.
02
Payouts
Withdrawal methods, realistic processing times, verification demands and any monthly cashout caps buried in the terms.
03
Bonus terms
Wagering multiples, game contribution, max bet rules and withdrawal caps. A large headline offer with 60x wagering is worth less than a small one at 20x.
04
Game fairness
Whether RTP figures are published per game, which studios supply the library, and whether testing is independently certified.

Best Casinos
Our overall shortlist — the operators that hold up across all four checks rather than winning on one.
New Casinos
Recent launches. Often generous on bonuses and short on payout track record — worth knowing which is which.
Crypto Casinos
Bitcoin and altcoin banking, provably fair mechanics, and the volatility risk of holding a balance in crypto.
Mobile Casinos
Sites that work properly on a phone — not a desktop layout squeezed into a small screen.
Fast Withdrawal Casinos
Where cashouts clear in hours rather than days, and what verification you need to finish first.
VIP Casinos
Loyalty schemes and high-limit tables — and an honest look at what a VIP tier is designed to do.
Common questions
How do I check a casino’s licence is real?
Licence details are normally in the site footer, including a licence number and the issuing authority. Every serious regulator keeps a public register you can search by operator or licence number. If the footer names a regulator but the number does not appear on that regulator’s register, treat it as unlicensed.
What does a wagering requirement actually cost me?
Multiply the bonus by the wagering multiple to get the total you must stake. A €100 bonus at 35x means €3,500 of wagering. On a slot with a 96% RTP, that turnover carries an expected loss of roughly €140 — more than the bonus itself. That is the arithmetic most bonus marketing leaves out.
Why do withdrawals take longer than deposits?
Deposits are instant because the casino wants you playing. Withdrawals pass through identity checks, an internal approval queue and then the payment network. The first cashout is usually the slowest because verification happens then. Completing verification before you request a withdrawal removes most of the delay.
Is an offshore licence automatically a bad sign?
Not automatically, but it changes your position. Offshore jurisdictions such as Curaçao or Anjouan have lighter compliance requirements and far weaker dispute resolution than the UK Gambling Commission or the Malta Gaming Authority. Plenty of offshore casinos pay without issue. The point is that if one does not, you have much less leverage.
